15/11/14: There are not many household names that have not trodden the hallowed boards at G-A-Y, but last Saturday singer, actress, broadcaster and all round Loose Woman Jane McDonald debuted there to promote her new album ‘Remixed’.
After donating £2,000 with Jeremy Joseph to her friend and fellow Loose Women host Lynda Bellingham’s cancer charity, she belted out a terrific set of medleys that included ‘Last Dance’, ‘On The Radio’ and a selection of Dream Girls numbers.
For her finale ‘Shake Your Groove Thing’/‘Dance Yourself Dizzy’ mash-up she was joined by scene darlings Mary Mac and Nancy Clench and super-fan Baga Chipz and commented, ‘I can’t believe it’s taken me 17 years to finally perform at this amazing venue’.
Also on stage was X Factor evictee Paul Akister showcasing superb vocals and proving once again that TV shows sometimes don’t know real talent when it slaps them around the face.
