We start this week’s column at a club happening… Interzone vs Death & Leisure at Grow Tottenham, Ashley House on Thursday 5th September, ‘an experimental assembly of sonics and cinema and community’. Affiliated with the KAOS club, it’s a collab with label Death & Leisure who present a DJ set from club Broken English. Also KAOS residents Dahc Dermur VIII, Lupus, Kujo and unn over various rooms. Starts at 7pm, ends at 4am. Expect your horizons to be broadened!
On other horizons, join RODENT who hosts Sissy Scvm Salon at The Karoake Hole this Thursday 5th September at 7pm with a soiree of Scvm Queens reading and performing spoken word of all sorts. At 10pm RODENT then launches into his avant-garde I’M NOT OKhole karaoke night on ‘til the small hours.
It seems Thursdays are the evening to engage with artists of all kinds, Bishi’s AV Show Launch ‘Let My Country Awake’ introduces a new electronic classical album from Bishi and it’s on at the Rich Mix on the 5th September. A conceptual electronic masterpiece addressing and exploring themes around ‘immigrant identity’ with visual from Output Arts. On from 7:30pm ‘til 11pm. #bishiAV19
Showtime never stops at The Glory… All About That Bassey: A night clebrating Dame Shirley Bassey on Friday Sept 6th. If like me you can never get enough of Dame Shirley then this show is for you! On Dalston Superstore news there’s Fast & Bi-Furious on Friday 6th… is this you?
