14+15/03/14: It’s Back! G-A-Y Porn Idol
Think you know the score? Well, think again. The Thursday night amateur strip night is twisting the formula around for the re-launch week, and it’s inspired by ‘The Voice’. The judges (Michael Mitchell, Tanya Hyde, Baga Chipz) will have their back to the contestants for PART 1 on Thursday 13th and will choose whether to spin around based on audience reactions only. The contestant then picks their judge if more than one turns for them. Judges then help choreograph a routine, choose an outfit and song for their contestants before PART 2 on Saturday 15th, with a grand prize of £1,000 up for grabs. Have you the balls?
Heaven, Villiers Street, WC2H 6NG. 10.30pm–5am. Discount wristbands from G-A-Y Bar. Turn up on Thursday 13th for Part 1 – get a FREE entry wristband to Part 2 on Saturday 15th.
14/03/14: Tonker 11th Birthday
Tonker is one of the longest running nights on our gay scene with over a decade of parties under its belt (no pun intended). And though times have changed, their policy of great music, no attitude and relaxed cruising for blokes, hasn’t. If you’re hungry – there’ll be a buffet – or if you’ve got an appetite for something else, we’re sure there will be another spread available. Beefy beats delivered by Tim Jones and Ross Jones; perfect for everyone’s favourite blokey boozer. Ross is our DJ of the Week this issue, check out page 16.

13/03/14: Babylon
Manbar’s deep house party Babylon is definitely settling in well among the cool London crowd, where last week fashionista Brook London debuted as Babylon’s official host and put on a night that amazed everyone. Having someone so visually expressive was a special and innovative touch, bringing in the crowds, and this week Brook returns with superstar deck-spinner DJohnny wowing the crowds with his music.

15/03/14: Handsome
Anyone who’s been to Handsome knows that it lives up to its name. And with three rooms packed of buff boys and different music – we can’t fault it. Perhaps some air con wouldn’t go a miss, but then the boys wouldn’t be as naked; logical thinking. Raf Daddy, Dave Kendrick and Fidel shake the main room, while Mark-Ashley Dupé werks an R&B storm in the side room. Johnny Kalifornia and Fitzgerald sort out the dance bizniz. Looking reem please lads!

15/03/14: XXL St. Patrick’s Day & Mark Ames’ Birthday
Not only is it Paddy’s weekend (which means that all the buff bearded boozing Irish men will be out in full force), but it’s also XXL owner Mark Ames birthday, so we expect he’ll be pulling out all the stops for the celebration! The pumping sounds come from resident DJs Joe Egg, Christian M, Alex Logan and new residents Andy Almighty and Stuart Style. Bring your four leaf clovers and you never know how lucky you’ll get; you might even find a pot of gold down the front of a leprechaun’s pants.

15/03/14: Mr Eagle 2014
This year the competition returns bigger (and buffer) than ever. The winner will get his hands on £1,000 – among other things – before going on to represent London as Mr. Leather or Rubber (whichever his preference is) later on in the year. Known for the infamous R&B, dancehall and hip-hop beats, Bootylicious has become much more than just a place to wind pon your mandem. Presenting a showcase of talent: poets, singers and dancers as well as a fashion show from Ben Moriah. On top of all that, selected drinks are only £2. Say what?! 29/03/14: Trade Spring Opening
There’s something in the air, whether it’s the smell of spring or poppers on the dance floor, we’re yet to find out. Known for it’s extravagant scale, Trade returns for its first party of the year; and what a party it looks set to be. A plethora of guests descend on the four large rooms (Disco, Lite, Tuff and Modern) to give you a different clubbing experience in each one. Residents Smokin’ Jo, Pagano, BK, Ian M and The Sharp Boys return alongside special guests.
