The Glory

THE GLORY! A paradise, a paragon! A queer mecca of cabaret, cattiness, contemporary sensibilities, and…crisps? They do have crisps behind the bar. We just needed another word beginning with “c”. Anyway, it’s fair to say they’re widely regarded as one of the city’s go-to gay pubs. On Tuesday 12th, don’t miss their special Edinburgh Preview of promising young comic Eleanor Conway with Eleanor Conway’s Walk of Shame! She’ll be talking all about sex, drugs and Tinder! Hooray! That’s from 8pm.

281 Kingsland Road, Haggerston, E2 8AS

Ku Bar

Jutting proudly from a street corner in aromatic Chinatown, spilling tipsy confirmed bachelors and raucous drag queens onto the cobbles, is London gay institution Ku Bar! It has a reputation for urban glamour, and quite rightly – if its Adonis-esque bar staff and chic vibes are anything to go by, it’s a well-deserved title. Don’t miss Retro Sundays on, as the name suggests, Sundays from 8:30pm. Ladies of the night Vicki Vivacious and Lady Lloyd DJ hits from the 80’s, 90’s and 00’s, taking you through to midnight and giving a smooth end to the weekend.

Halfway 2 Heaven

Halfway is a warm and welcoming old-school gay watering hole, with cask ales and cabaret! What more d’ya want?! Great for post-working drinking or late-night weekend debauchery, depending on the mood you’re in. On Fridays from 8pm, they’ve got Lola Lasagne! She’s crispy, catty and straight out of the oven! What does that mean?! Not sure, we were just referencing…y’know…lasagne. Oh shut up.

Village

Slap bang at the end of Soho’s iconic Old Compton Street, is hive of drinking and partying, Village! They’ve got chintzy velvety booths where you can sit and enjoy a salubrious cocktail, and they’ve also got a nice smoking terrace where you can smoke and bitch and watch the world go by. Not that we’re condoning smoking, it’s BAD FOR YOU. Don’t miss their Saturday night party FADOODLE, 5pm – 3am.

81 Wardour Street, Soho, W1D 6QD

BJ’s White Swan

We’d say BJ’s White Swan is Limehouse’s best-kept secret, except…IT’S NOT A SECRET! Everyone knows about it and loves it. As one of London’s oldest gay venues, it’s sort of iconic. It’s got a unique old-school charm, and brilliant anything goes vibes. Speaking of anything goes, they’ve got X Factor’s twink duo Diva Fever perfoming this Saturday 9th from 10:30pm. MEGALOLZ.

556 Commercial Road, Limehouse, E14 7JD
