London Fashion Week went with a bang in September (never seen so much fabulous drag!) and now watch out dears; it’s Frieze London art fair from the 14th-17th October if you’re so inclined! Meanwhile, club culture continues with a whole load of ‘artistic’ people expressing themselves.

If you’re over South London on Friday 2nd then wiggle yer hips down to The Lipsinkers at the RVT (372 Kennington Lane, SE11 5HY). Camp classics mouthed in outrageous style. Saturday 3rd October join him and friends for an evening at The Glory (281 Kingsland Road, E2 8AS) for Jonny Woo’s 40(ish) B-Day Partay where show time starts at 9pm with special guest from Manchester Zsa Zsa Noir performing her new tracks, Titus Groan hosting, Kezia as Debbie Harry, Hannah Holland DJing a classic set and Jonny’s mate Darren playing all the birthday party hits. All on til’ 2am as well!

Yes, you heard it right cult film Dressed As A Girl holds London and UK screenings across the land on Sunday 4th October at 3pm.
Keeping on a film slant, the Marsha P Johnson Film Club take over VFD (Vogue fabrics Dalston, 66 Stoke Newington Road, N16 7XB) on Tuesday 6th October, with a screening of films about Marsha P Johnson and Sylvia Rivera. With an introduction and discussion from Lavinia Co-Op, music from Reba Maybury plus more. Starts at 7.30pm til’ late, continuing every Tuesday in October with further rare film screenings, performance and talks.
I must mention Nowhere Slow – A Reading on Wednesday 7th October from underground star Bertie Marshall, author of Berlin Bromley, Psychoboys and Nowhere Slow. It’s taking place at the Hackney Attic (270 Mare Street, E8 1HE) from 8pm, where Bertie will be combining spoken word and soundscape from composer and musician Nick Hudson into a forty-minute performance.
