Queer Nation

11/01/14: QX Club News braved the frozen streets of Vauxhall as the mighty Queer Nation landed on Barcode for its first party of 2014 last Saturday.

Attracting a sleek and sexy crowd for classic all-night-long QN antics, the gorgeous guys ‘n’ gals spent hours dancing their bumpin’ bootys off in aid of an extremely worthy cause – namely raising funds to fight against Uganda’s proposed barbaric Anti-Homosexuality Bill (life in prison for the ‘crime’ of being gay? WTF?!!).

Featuring two rampant rooms of sexy house licks and R&B anthems, those luscious grooves had the rammed masses throwing their hands up just like they did when this legendary bash first hit the scene way back in the 90s.

Mirror-ball-busting highlights included the top-rankin’ likes of Jeffrey Hinton, Supadon, Mista Pierre and Niyi Maximus Crown joining QN daddy, Patrick Lilley, at the decks for sizzling sets that kept the block rockin’ into the dawn – and we thought January was supposed to be a quiet month in clubland!

Congratulations to the crew for a fantastic party and to all the QN fans for supporting our LGBT brothers and sisters in Uganda. Patrick and his posse are back at Barcode on 25th January!
