Installation and charity print sale
About the portrait collection:
Matt Ford has gathered some of London’s most beloved and respected Queers, including well known faces from Drag Race UK, the Founder of Trans Pride and curators of some of London’s most loved Queer hangouts. The images represent an exaggerated fearlessness to express your own Queerness and sexuality.
About the installation and prints:
The installation will run from 19th Nov 2021 – 18th Jan 2022 at Dalston Superstore. The launch event will be held on Thursday 18th November 7:30pm – 9pm. Free Entry. Dalston Superstore was the obvious choice for this installation, as a space that is not only a staple to the Queer community, but has contributed so much towards it.
Limited edition prints will be available to order here from 18th Nov.
Artists Statement:
“Free to desire.
Free to feel and be sexy.
Our bodies, our minds, our gender and sexuality is ours to define and decide how to express.
Nothing should be able to stop that’. – Matt Ford.

Rainbow Railroad is a global not-for-profit organization that helps LGTBQI+ people facing persecution based on their sexual orientation, gender identity and sex characteristics. In a time when there are more displaced people than ever before, LGBTQI+ people are uniquely vulnerable due to systemic, state-enabled homophobia and transphobia. These factors either displace them in their own country or prevent them from escaping harm.
As a result of Rainbow Railroad, more LGBTQI+ individuals will be able to access lives free from persecution.
Since their founding, they’ve helped over 1,600 LGBTQI+ individuals find safety through emergency relocation and other forms of assistance. Their story has received international media attention, including a feature on CBS 60 Minutes.
