12/07/14: If you thought the sunny weather of last Saturday afternoon was sizzling, then you didn’t catch Dish majestically take over the summer’s night at East Bloc – where the atmosphere was only matched by the hotness of the beats and boys.
True, we’re no stranger to Shoreditch’s favourite gay basement bunker club, but this was an exceptional night by any standards. Packed from wall to wall in every room, it appeared that the great, glittering and gleefully wicked of London’s East End had descended down those famous steps to get in on the party.
Tom Stephan and Borja Peña were the master chefs in the main room, keeping the dance floor twisted on their recipes for dancing and devilry, QBoy and Cathal tantalised the side room to boiling point, and Ray Noir presided over the Tap Ass room with the most piquant of haute musique.
Dish proves once again why it’s firmly established itself as one of gay London’s favourite and most popular nights.
