QX Launches a new gay chat line website called QXChat.com
QX has been running gay chat lines since they were invented. You know the ones, the buff guys that never age in the back of QX and QXMen, advertising a phone number to call so that you can chat and get up to all kinds of shenanigans with other like minded guys. Well, they’ve made a resurgence in popularity since the advent of Covid-19.
Chat lines are a safe connection to the outside world
For many gay men, older gay men in particular, Covid has been a very isolating and lonely experience. The usual venues, the sex clubs and the saunas, have been closed for several months now. Also, the few bars that cater for an older clientele are now few in number.
During lock down, younger gay men were also isolated, especially those without family and living alone.
So for many gay men the gay chat lines have provided a safe connection to the outside world. You can call in and chat, have some intimacy with a caller in a live 1-2-1, and browse the other callers messages. Anyone you like the sound of you can hook up with.
The demand for cheaper gay chat lines
Unfortunately, one of the issues that limits chat line use is the price. For years the price was brought down by the chat line owners. However, ever since the phone networks were allowed to add their access charges to the per minute price (none of which the actual chat line owners get, btw) the cost has gone up. Which is why QX decided to make it cheaper and easier to access a chat line with out having to pay the networks access charges.
Introducing a 5 digit gay chat short-code
Initially we introduced a 5 digit short-code number that limited the per minute price and didn’t have any of the networks´access charges applied. It was a reliable and easily understood per minute price, advertised as having ´no hidden extras´in the price.
Cheap gay chat line for 6p per minute
Now we’ve set up a website that allows you to pay for bulk minutes. It’s called QXChat.com. It´s very mobile friendly and easy to navigate. You pick the access type you want: instant access from a landline, instant access from a mobile or you join with a membership. For the first two you just click the number.
If you want to join with a membership then you just enter your phone number and then pay by a secure payment method, like PayPal. You can pay by entering your credit card if you want. Most people prefer the safety of PayPal. It’s brought the price down to as low as 6p per minute. You can then top up while you´re on the phone or do it online within your account.
