Drag Race UK tweets! It’s the fourth week of draggery on the BBC. Perhaps the most highly-anticipated series in gay British television history, and it isn’t even on telly. Thursday is now officially Drag Race UK day. Taking over televisions in living rooms, laptop screens and projectors in gay bars across the country and beyond. The series’s fourth episode was a fashion frenzy.
The reality TV show pitching queen against queen premiered on BBC 3 via iPlayer at 8 pm last week and was streamed faster than a new Netflix doc about a serial killer. Though fans of the show weren’t sure if it was going to live up to its US origins, it seemed to have gone down very well with viewers. Others who were wary of RuPaul’s handling of British drag culture were pleasantly surprised.
It was back this week with the queens trying their hands at a design challenge. Turning crap from a car boot sale into couture, this was a tough week in Drag Race land. Serving Posh on a Penny. Once again, Twitter was one big Drag Race fan site again last night.
