Reporting from London clubland, and all the things that go with clubland gatherings which to my mind are the platforms for things to happen in the wider world! I went to the opening of photographer Tim Walker’s show at the V&A recently and there in the midst of the many camp highlights are the stars of our clubland shining bright… Creativity is everywhere!
Our fabulous friends at Drag King central BoiBOX celebrate their Sixth Birthday with a BoiBOX Bonanza Special on Thursday 26th September and it’s at The Glory! Starring Cheddar Gorgeous, Jada Love, Len Blanco, Romeo De La Cruz and Sigi Moonlight! Hosted by Adam All and Apple Derriers this beyond night has created the ultimate performance, fun and it’s from 7:30pm ’til 10:30pm.
We sometimes don’t know what she’s going on about but Keela Craving’s Grand Show will not disappoint Friday 27th September at The Glory. Keela introduces an array of special guests and rambles on in style… and may even be sitting on your lap. Show time 7:30pm then from 10:30pm it’s Friday night TROUBLE ‘til 2am.
Always here with a theme Clash Bash no.12 ~ FUZZ BALL at Dalston Superstore on Friday 27th is where the furry, fluffy styles of ShayShay and Finn Love are unleashed! Joining the fuzz party hosts Sakeema and Jamie Windust, DJ’s Tete bang, Gaff E, Dawta, Gin and Super Drama! 9pm ‘til 3am.
New night Queens of Pop Club at Bethnal Green Working Mens Club: indulge in all the catchiest female fronted pop tunes on Saturday 28th September with DJ’s Neil Prince, Chaka Khan’t and Seran Shamkhi. Performance from Frieda Slaves, Rileasa Slaves, Georgie Bee and Barbs recreating their versions of girlie pop classics! 9pm ‘til 2am.
Over at the Eagle it’s a chance to dance around in abandon at Pop Tarts on Saturday 28th September. You’ll know every word to the music DJ’s Johnny Kalifornia and Chaka Khan’t play tonight! 9pm ‘til 4am!
All roads lead to MEAT at Dalston Superstore on Saturday 28th September… OMG it’s MEATZINE’s 9th birthday and 7 years of the Meatzine party tonight! International rave up at Kaos who present Unhuman, an electronic and experimental project by artist Manos Simotas from Berlin at Electrowerkz on Saturday 28th September. Joining DJ’s Claus Fuss, Samantha Togni, URSULA and Choronzon from 11.30pm ‘til 7am!
Okay, relax everyone. I’m back with another weekly soireé Princess Julia Loves with a special guest performance from Ash Kenzai on Sunday 29th. 7pm – 11pm. And The Gold Rush continues apace every Monday at The Glory hosted by Taylor Trash! Show time 7pm!
