The Eagle mark 50 years since the birth of queer liberation
It’s been five whole decades since the birth of a movement that would liberate queer people across the globe. When that first stone, shot glass or shoe was thrown back in 1969 at the Stonewall Inn, it sent a message to authorities that we were fed up of being oppressed and prosecuted for being who we are. This year’s Pride in London marks a historic milestone as we celebrate half a century of the queer liberation movement. That’s why The Eagle aren’t having just one Pride bash, they’re having a whole FORTNIGHT of them!
They’re serving up their infamous regular nights, all bringing their own flavour of celebration to the occasion. In a time of rising levels of hate crimes, it’s important to show that we won’t be silenced, and we’re going to keep on partying. Here’s what The Eagle has coming up for The Stonewall Fortnight:
Carpet Burn
Friday nights are the Eagle leave you red, raw and sore. It’s Carpet Burn! They lay down fat anthems, regardless of decade or genre. Nothing but bops that’ll have you shout-singing into the early hours. Get there before 10pm and it’s free entry, with a Carpet Burger served up courtesy of them. Their drink orders make getting wavey an inevitability.

Cheer Up Kylie Definitive Party

A world-renowned disco institution. If a Sunday night out is what you’re looking for, Horse Meat Disco is the only logical conclusion.
