08/12/14: What with Spring officially here, and everyone boasting about their skimpy outfits on Dish’s Facebook page, we had made an executive decision; it was definitely time to break out the short shorts again. But even in outfits that would make a stripper gasp, we were sweating more than Putin at a Pride Parade.
We felt sorry for the drag queens; synthetic weave frying, collagen melting, facial hair singeing. Everyone who’s anyone had turned out for the event.
We limbered up to the bass served by Borja Pena, before unleashing some unholy moves in the Tapass room with Cathal. While Q Boy offered something that wasn’t on the menu… La Paquena, as the face – and moustache – of Dish, did what she did best by werqing the crowd.
Ollywood and Ray Noir owned the Side Dish like professionals, as Master Chef Tom Stephan got the main room shaking like a twerker with epilepsy. A night of debauchery in Shoreditch’s favourite oven had left us royally cooked.
But if you can’t take the heat get out of East Bloc; next time we’ll be in pants.
