If I had my way I’d go to everything every night of the week, but how to fit it all in? Sometimes I really do feel like I’ve missed out somewhere! As we wing our way into September, there’s all sorts going on in London Town. I’ve picked out some favourite parties at my fave hotspots for you.
I’m always popping round to The Glory, where they’ve got such an array of performance and DJ action going on I could actually live there! On Friday 2nd September, step into the world of Homo Superior with DJs Sina Sparrow from Debbie Does Disco and Panos Z in the basement from 9pm. Upstairs, it’s always show time and this week Cherry Poppers does a bit of cavorting on stage while Jonbenet Blonde takes to the decks until 2am.
Up town at the Retro Bar they’re keeping the cute indie pub vibe alive with More Glam, Vicar? On Saturday 3rd DJ Heidi Heelz holds the fort with a set you can mouth the words to if you’re that way inclined. 8-11pm (proper pub times!).
Homodrop is back at the Dalston Superstore on Saturday 3rd. In town for this extra special night is a DJ who’s become something of a legend…Cormac! He’s been busy in Berlin and a regular DJ at Berghain/Ostgut Panorama Bar. He’ll be joining the Homodrop squad Tiffany M, Marie Malarie, Richard Kahwagi, Twang and Cheriii. 9-4am.
As I mentioned last week, Christeene is back doing a one off performance at Horse Meat Disco on Sunday 4th September at The Eagle… OMG! Roadblock alert for this one, 8pm – 3am. I’d advise you get there early to secure your front row mosh pit position!
September’s delights include a theatre run of The Prime of Ms David Hoyle from 14th to the 25th September at the Chelsea Theatre. Ms David Hoyle dons a visionary mantle and questions all and sundry, ‘It shall be an education’.
And let us venture into the world of Sink The Pink: Under The Sea this month on Saturday 17th for a ball to end all balls. Truly an experience where you will really feel part of the Sink The Pink fam of freaks to take place at The Troxy 9-4am. Special guest DJs, shows all night long, a chance for you to enter Queen Of The Night where as a resident judge I will be welcoming you to the stage!
