TfL should just hire bouncers and a DJ and be done with it. Anyway, Night Tube is OFFICIALLY up and running across several lines already, including the Victoria Line. We love the Victoria Line. It’s fast, it’s always on time, and it goes to locations where all the sexiest men are.
One of those locations, is Vauxhall! A hive of homosexual hedonism if ever there was one. And we say that with love. And guess what’s in Vauxhall, literally outside the entrance to the station…
Counter! Counter is ambiently illuminated, profferingly polished, and almost insultingly chic. It’s a New York-style brasserie, with a good dollop of sexy London grittiness. As well as doing dinner and drinks until the wee hours, they host burlesque and cabaret nights at their back bar, BackCOUNTER. A perfect prelude to going clubbing, or even INSTEAD of going clubbing.
In honour of the arrival of Night Tube, they’ve invented a new cocktail! We feel like that’s how Carrie Bradshaw would celebrate things, so we approve. The Vauxhall Interchange cocktail is made with gin, Southern Comfort, Cointreau, and then a couple of other things that aren’t alcoholic.
They’re open until 1:30am on Fridays, when they also have chilled purveyor of cool tunes, DJ Chillz. So zoom down on the Victoria Line and check it out! And then you can zoom straight back again! No waiting on chilly corners for Ubers!
