They’ll be dishing the dish with an ‘in conversation’ as Sue Tilley tells all about her life as a benefits supervisor and original club kid and muse! *Includes DJ set from Sue herself!
Round the corner, The Queen Adelaide at 483 Hackney Road are having an art show on Thursday 19th from 9.30pm with artists and creatives displaying and selling their work! Join Matty Boven, Paul Kindersley, Harriet Scott, Emily Rose England and me with some of my infamous water colours, plus more tbc. This place closes at 3am btw in the basement disco! Upstairs it’s a pub, open from 5pm onwards.
Up at The Glory on Friday 19th they’ll be rifling through the archives with a Madonna! – Total M Disco and 80’s Room themed night from 9pm ‘til 2am, with shows and music, before which Baby Lame’s SHIT Show takes place so why go anywhere else tonight!
Okay, you might be thinking I don’t get far, but what about Mince vol 001 feat Ruf Dug at the Dalston Superstore on Friday 19th? 9pm-3am, where Emma Kroeger & Jon Arnold play the music at this ‘pure nonsense homosexual discotheque’.
On Saturday 20th enjoy Night Sheen Birthday Dance at Shelter Club, 267 Kingsland Road, with residents including Hannah Holland, Josh Caffe and special guests Cathal & Bica, Posthuman, and Jonathan Bestley. On from 10pm – 5am.
If you’re in for all the girlie classics and indie is your thing, then head to Debbie at The Shacklewell Arms on Saturday 20th from 11pm – 3am. They’ll be turning out a non-stop selection of hits you won’t be able to stop dancing to, let alone singing the words to!
