Attack Attack Attack

Friday 22nd July: Wut Club

After throwing an insanely over-the-top Pride party, the crazy kids at Wut Club have picked themselves up, dusted the glitter out of their hair, and they’re having ANOTHER insanely over-the-top party! Hooray! We love the Wut Club kids, they’re the personification of fun, cool queer clubbing. They’ve got superstarDJ Attack Attack Attack playing, as well as a slew of special guests.

117 Kingsland High Street, E8 2PB. 9pm – 3am. Free before 11pm, £5 before 12, £7 after.

Friday 22nd July: Vangelis at The RVT

Vangelis Polydoru is the fresh-faced star of BBC talent contest, The Voice! He did really well on it, impressing Boy George with a Boy George song, and making Paloma Faith get all teary. Now he’s bringing his touching, dulcet tones to the RVT. He’ll be doing a lovely little set of ballads and more through the decades. He’ll start off at the 60s, and go right through to the 00s, picking his fave song from each period. Go see him, he’s a treat!

The Royal Vauxhall Tavern, 372 Kennington Lane, SE11 5HY. Doors 7pm. £8 adv, £10 OTD.

Saturday 23rd July: Glory Lates…BETTY GRUMBLE!

Grumble grumbe, it’s Betty Grumble! Does she eat apple crumble? You’ll have to go see her and find out! According to The Glory’s website, she’s a “perf-art-burlesque-provocateur”. So she does everything, basically. She’ll be bringing you the highlights of her show “Sex Clown Saves The World”. Of course it’s called that. Psssshh. After the show, you can go down into their dance hole of a basement and boogie to Garbage and No Doubt until close!

The Glory, 281 Kingsland Road, E2 8AS. Show 10pm. Venue 5pm – 2am.

Saturday 23rd July: XXL

The gorgeous bear’s den of debauchery XXL is BACK this week! We bloody love XXL. It’s such a great night out! And the venue is huuuuuge. It’s like how London nightclubs used to be before they all got shut down. A cavernous dancefloor and lots of exposed brick. It’s mainly for big beary burly men, but you’ll be welcomed with open, hairy arms whoever you are! So go down there and have a dance to a big ole’ camp Kylie remix.

1 Invicta Plaza, South Bank, SE1 9UF. 10pm – 6am. £15 entry, £8 for members.

Saturday 23rd July: Blocaheads

Get down to East Bloc, you Blocheads! Blocheads is for the children of the night! Yes! Well, we’re using a bit of creative license there. Not CHILDREN. You’ve got to be over eighteen. But you can be…y’know…children at heart! Dancing the night away in a dark den of debauchery. Spilling vodka diet cokes down the rippling torsos of fashion graduates called Xavier, then licking it off. Where did we get that image from, you ask? WE DID IT. IT HAPPENED. Anyway, Blocheads also has great DJs. This week, it’s Hifi Sean, Martyn Fitzgerald, Guy Williams, and Beary Carey (we always giggle at “Beary Carey”, lolz).

East Bloc, 217 City Road, EC1. 10pm – 6am. £5 before 12, £10 after.

Sunday 31st July: Latrice Royale at The Meth Lab

Remember the Meth Lab?! No, not the one in Breaking Bad, although that was iconic. We’re talking about Meth’s plethora of shows with Drag Race queens in Camden! She was really the first one to get them all to hop on a plane and come over to entertain us. Well now the Meth Lab’s BACK, at the suitably cool, suitably debauched Bloc Bar. And it’s…LATRICE ROYALE! How can you not like Latrice Royale?! Large and in charge. Chunky yet funky. Etc. Get down there, it’s gonna be ace!

Bloc Bar, 18 Kentish Town Road, NW1 9NX. Doors from 7:30pm. Standard tickets £15, meet and greet £30

Friday 5th August: A:M

UNTZ, UNTZ, UNTZ! Fast gaining notoriety as one of our mad city’s MADDEST Friday night parties, A:M hits London again this week for another night of shimmering hedonism. They’ve got state-of-the-art soundsystem, some of the scene’s best DJs and, most, importantly, LOADSA HOT MEN! Yes! Always good in a gay club. FIT. MEN. That’s all we want at the end of the day really isn’t it. Especially on a Friday night, after a hard week’s work. Mmm. Anyway, A:M!

Protocol, South Lambeth Place, SW8 1SP. 11pm – 11am. £8 adv tickets, £13 OTD.

Sunday 7th August: Sunday Sundae Pride Reunion Party

It’s the return of Sunday Sundae for a meltingly delcious, cherry-topped Pride edition. And it’s at the gorgeous seafront art deco venue, Patterns! Their terrace has gorgeous views of Brighton’s iconic coastline, that you can stumble around with a drink and a fag. Not only THAT, it’s got a sexy, hedonistic dance basement. We LOVE a sexy hedonistic dance basement. Adding to the hedonism will be YOU, obviously, and a formidable lineup of DJs, from Freddie Dimanche to Jeffrey Hinton. It goes on for TWELVE HOURS. Don’t tell your mum.

Patterns, 10 Marine Parade, Brighton, BN2 1TL. 3pm – 3am. £8 early bird tickets, then £10.

Sunday 7th August: Brut Brighton Pride

London’s hottest men-only party is heading to the seaside for Brighton Pride! Wayne Shires’ now iconic gritty party for blokes and bears is bringing its distinct sexy brand to Concorde 2. In true Brut style, they’ll have uplifting house and fat basslines spun by a lineup of legendary DJs, incuding SuperChumbo hero Tom Stephan, Louis Lennon, Ben Jamin and DJ Dreadful. Get down there for a big, beefy, stylish bash to celebrate Brighton Pride.

Concorde 2, Madeira Drive, Brighton, BN2 1EN. 10:30pm – 4am. £10 early bird, then £15.
