We can’t get over this! Amazing! It makes us love London so much actually. Where else would you get a Star Wars/Cabaret/Christmas-themed night at a gay performance space behind a brasserie in a converted railway arch?!
YES! Gorgeous purveyors of food and fun Counter are having an astromical, gastronomical, galactical feast of festive mischief! Aaaw we loved the Star Wars movies! We used to pretend to be Queen Amidala in the playground at school. And we totes had a crush on Hayden Christensen. Although his acting left a lot to be desired.
Remember the Mos Eisley Cantina? With the Cantina band? (“Doo doo doo doo doo, duh-d-duh!”). And the giggling little thing on the corner that looked like it had dropped too many E’s? And it had that horseshoe-shaped bar, under a sort of arching brick ceiling. It actually looked quite a lot like Counter! Which is good, BECAUSE, the Counter boys are recreating Mos Eisley vibes! They’ve got themed cocktails called things like the Darth Maultini, and the Qui-Gon Gin! Ha!

There’s also entertainment from Darth Duncan Day (these puns are making us SCREAM) and Princess Carl Joseph Leia. AND, a free glass of mulled wine for anyone who comes in costume. So set your phasers to STUNNING, and unsheathe those lightsabers. Also, make sure you get some sleep. It’s bound to be a raucous night, and we’ve heard Mace Windu wants to go to Fire afterwards. He’s bought a harness from Tatooine Galactic Market and everything.
