Friday 2nd October: The Lipsinkers

READ ALL ABAAHHT IT! It’s The Lipsinkers at the officially listed Royal Vauxhall Tavern (not just listed in QX, but listed, like, as an important building). “Camp, cult and glorious!” says the Times. “A glorious mess!” says Ben Walters. A monthly event at the RVT, it’s the lipsynching stylings of a mad troupe of performers in various states of drag and undress. Reapply your lipstick and enjoy!

The RVT, 372 Kennington Lane, SE11 5HY.  9pm – 4am. £8 before midnight, £5 after.

Saturday 3rd October: Burning Down the House

Call the fire brigade because VFD is on FIRE. It’s not. Don’t worry. Although it’d be amazing if a bunch of hot fireman clattered down the stairs into the middle of it. Shirtless. Blasting fire hoses. Can you imagine? Anyway we made that shit joke because it’s BURNING DOWN THE HOUSE, a brand-spanking new, red hot night at the glam rock glitter hole. It’s queer-friendly 80’s new wave! Expect things like David Bowie, The Smiths, Depeche Mode, Blondie and Iggy Pop (NO, NOT IGGY AZALEA).

VFD, 66 Stoke Newington Road, N16 7XB. 8pm – 3am. £3 before 10pm, £5 after.

Saturday 3rd October: Dirty Diana

Lock up your sons, Dirty Diana’s back at East Bloc! Dirty Diana has such a VIBE. Trainers, tattoos, beautiful scowling boys who eat urinal cakes for breakfast. We love it. And this time round it’s a corker of a lineup; DJ Scally Faggot (name speaks for itself) as well as Queen of The Dalston Damned, Samantha Togni, and of course dashingly dastardly Conner West. Little Freddy Krave will be venturing into the mix to take some slutty sweaty snaps of the night. If you find him please post him back to our office (our address and postcode can be found at the back of the magazine).

East Bloc, 217 City Road, EC1V 1JN. 10pm – 6am. Free before 10:30, £10 after, £8 concessions.

Saturday 3rd October: Homodrop

It’s Homodrop’s First Anniversary! No doubt there’ll be lots of homos slut dropping. Or maybe death dropping. Or maybe dropping their drinks. Dropping hints. And there’ll be lots of bangin’ music, so people will say things like “wait for the drop!”, or maybe even (if they’re straight) “the drop on this one is SICK mate!” That’s what our friend Hot Straight Sam said when we took him. There’s gonna be DJ Babybear who sounds totes adorbs, and a laser basement full of heart-pumping house, courtesy of Stathis and Wes Baggaley.

Dalston Superstore, 117 Kingsland High Street, E8 2PB. 9pm – 4am. Free before 10pm, £6 after.

Saturday 3rd October: Moto Blanco at XXL

World-famous DJ Moto Blancois playing XXL this week! Apart from anything else his name ties in wonderfully with our motorbike issue. He could ride into XXL on a motorbike. WHILST DJing. That’d be awesome. And hot. We’re not sure about the health and safety laws on that though. We’ll check and get back to you. Either way XXL is one of the city’s best, most iconic gay nights. Get down there.

Pulse Nightclub, 1 Invicta Plaza, SE1 9UF. 10pm – 7am. £15, £8 for members.

Saturday 3rd October: Beyond Wonderland

The number 13 is supposed to be unlucky, but not this weekend for Beyond; it’s their 13th birthday this weekend! And the theme is WONDERLAND. So get your Mad Hatter vibes going and dive down the rabbit hole [insert hole joke here]. Personally, we’re going to channel Anne Hathaway as the White Witch in the Tim Burton adaptation. Quite an obscure reference, but a very camp one. In the biggest clubbing event The Coronet has ever seen, two huge rooms will host a pulsating plethora of DJ’s, performers and artists including Fat Tony, Maze & Masters, Summer Daze and Tony English.

Coronet Theatre, 28 New Kent Road, SE1 6TJ. Doors 11pm. Early bird tickets £11, VIP £27.50.

Saturday 3rd October: Exilio: Cowboys & Indians

Exilio, which bills itself as “the one and only, most legendary LGBT Latin dance club in London” returns this Saturday night with a Cowboy and Indians themed party. But don’t worry you don’t have to dress up, nor will the music be western! It’s just another wacky night created by Exilio! Mad, ain’t they?
Resident DJG will be playing playing a mix of salsa, merengue, bachata, reggaeton, cumbia and more. Oh and groups of 10 when booking in advance get HALF A BOTTLE OF AGUARDIENTE, so bring a squad! Que no te lo cuenten!

Guy’s Bar, Boland House, St Thomas Street, SE1 9RT, 10pm – 3am. £8 entry with Facebook attending, otherwise £10
