After a sari-swishingly, boombox-burstingly, carnival-crashingly successful year, the geniuses behind Urban World are hitting London again for a sizzling summer party.
In an exploding glitter cannon of different creeds and cultures, they’re taking over Scala for a camptastic colliding of East and West, in the shape of DJs, dancers, and an international spirit of carnival and fiesta that ties closely with the unabashed jubilance of the LGBT community.
There are set to be 20 of the UK’s best urban and world MC’s and hosts, along with nine legendary club brands.
Perhaps most notable is Bootylicious, notorious for their epic weekly hip-hop night at Brixton Electric. They cater to all things hip-hop, bashment and urban, with DJs Chillz, Big John Freeman and Biggy C spinning the decks.
Then there’s the kids over at Urban Desi, playing a spicy Bombay mix of Bollywood, Bhangra, desi beats and pop. We can’t WAIT to get down to that. Finally all those times we’ve listened to Kiss Kiss by Holly Valance might come in handy.
Anyway whether you’re a bootylicious bae or a Bollywood boi, Urban World Summer Jam is gonna be MAJOR. So put on some bangles, stick a flower in your hair, and skip down to Scala!
