01/01/14: Think you’re man enough, stud? Robb White, Mark Oakley and the good men at the Eagle gave us all a chance to prove our manhood and strut our stuff on the dance floor at Saturday night’s Stud.
Stud was the word at the packed pub disco oozing with stud-pub regulars and stud-puppy newbies swaying to soulful rhythms among the beards, bears, muscle and flannel. The perfect place for Brazilian beauty Gilgas Piva and Matthew Branch and 30 slabs o’ beef to pump up his bday man-style!
Robb White continues to enlighten the masses with his brand of nu-disco groove that has quickly become a trademark funk seducing a slew of clubbers and lovers everywhere he plays. The Eagle’s usual blokey buds vibed fresh and friendly all night as “Stud Boy” dancers Sergio Sardo and Tom Burke kept it flash and fleshy in muscley manfur onstage.
Pied piper Robb creams ‘em in with airy soul nu-disco. He set em up so DJs Eduardo Herrera could knock ‘em down with hard bass lines and uptempo beats. Then Jeffrey Hinton and Kurt Potter stepped in with their take-no-prisoners funk house that had ‘em bumpin and squirmin all the way out to the warm cuddle of the smokey oakey back garden.
Club promoter and sexy dancer Paul Marcus and bf Ady and bff David Vitaly-Wright couldn’t agree more.
“Now we got our new fav club right here!” they preened. A new favorite from some old mates!
